The Followed By Mercy Podcast
Real Grace, Honest Hope
You might notice a new name and a fresh look, but the heart behind this podcast is the same. After years as the World Evangelism Podcast, I sensed God leading me to a deeper, more personal path centered on His relentless mercy and the kind of honest hope that can reach into every hurting place. That’s why this show is now called Followed By Mercy Podcast. The format may shift, and the tone may be a bit more personal, but my mission hasn’t changed: I still believe the world desperately needs to hear the good news of God’s love in Jesus Christ. You are welcome here if you’ve been with me from the beginning or just found us now.
What if God’s love is more personal, stubborn, and relentless than you ever imagined?
Welcome to The Followed By Mercy Podcast, where we get honest about pain, hope, and the kind of grace that finds you right where you are, five days a week. This isn’t about religious performance or church routines. It’s for anyone who’s ever felt worn out, unseen, or unsure if they belong in the story of God’s love. Every conversation is rooted in this reality: God loves you right now, just as you are, and He isn’t giving up on you.
Here’s what you’ll find in every episode:
Experience God’s Relentless Love
Every show starts by reminding you that the Shepherd knows your name, cares about your story, and isn’t offended by your failures or questions. This is personal—it’s about God’s unwavering affection for you.
Find Your Place in His Heart
Once you grasp how fiercely you’re loved, sharing that love with others doesn’t feel forced. It becomes the most natural thing in the world. Real grace overflows.
Prayer That Changes You
We pray together—not just for the world “out there,” but for the battles and hopes you’re carrying right now. These prayers are honest, rooted in Scripture, and meant for hearts that need a gentle touch from the Shepherd.
Discover Your Unique Role
Whether you’re called to go, give, serve, or show kindness in your corner of the world, God’s mercy meets you where you are. You’re not just a bystander. You are His beloved, invited into the story He’s writing.
When life knocks the wind out of you, this is a place to catch your breath. You’ll hear the encouragement that meets you on your hardest days, and your honest questions will be welcomed. No pretending, no heavy-handed advice—just the reminder that your Shepherd is right there with you, walking every step with you, even when you feel like giving up.
Why does this matter? Because some days, it feels like nobody sees you or cares what you’re going through. But the truth is, you have a Shepherd who never takes His eyes off you, lets you slip through the cracks, and never gives up on you. That kind of love can put you back on your feet, and it might be the hope someone else is waiting to see in you, too.
If you’re longing for more than just religious talk—if you want to know you’re not alone and that God’s mercy is following you all the way home, you’re in the right place. Whether you listen in the car, on a walk, or in a quiet moment, let every episode remind you: God’s mercy is after you right now, ready to bring real grace and honest hope.

Followed By Mercy
What if weakness is where God’s strength shines most?
What if the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is already at work in your everyday life? In this episode, we open Ephesians 1:19–20 and watch Paul pile up words for “power” to make sure we don’t miss it: this isn’t theory, it’s reality for those who believe.
I share pieces of my own story, from cancer diagnoses and false accusations to nights when bitterness felt easier than forgiveness, and how God met me with a strength that didn’t need fireworks to be real. Resurrection power shows up in hospital rooms, courtrooms, and kitchen tables. It looks like forgiving when you’d rather stay angry, blessing those who curse you, and refusing to quit when you’re spent.
We connect Ephesians, Romans 8, and John’s Gospel to show how Christ is reigning now, and we are seated with Him. That truth reshapes how we face fear, betrayal, and despair. Think of the Spirit like electricity: invisible but undeniable, lighting up a life that points back to the Father.
This week, you don’t need to try harder—you need to trust deeper. Live like it’s true. Forgive. Be brave. Keep going. His power in you is greater than what stands against you.
If this encouraged you, subscribe, share it with someone who needs strength today, and leave a review with one word that names your next brave step.

Welcome to today's podcast. You're followed by Mercy, where we know that surely goodness and mercy do follow us all the days of our lives. You know, I have been looking back over my life and just considering how good God has been. There is no way I could ever explain to you how good God has been to me at this very moment. I don't, I'm not sure if the Lord's not healing me of cancer. I'm just telling you, God is good. So whether you're sitting in the car driving or you're drinking a cup of coffee or wherever you are listening, thank you for listening. And I hope that you will tell others about the podcast and let's uh help me spread the word about how good God is to everyone. And he is, by the way, if you're not even a believer, he loves you, and he is after you, and you're being followed by mercy, he's waiting for you to realize and see how great he is. Now, today I want to take you down to Ephesians chapter 1, verses 19 through 20. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead and set him at his own right hand in heavenly places. Paul doesn't want us to just know that God's power exists, he wants us to experience it. And when we do, that changes everything. I know what it feels like to be powerless. In my book, Pain to Praise, I share about falling all the way into the pit of despair. I felt I fell into it after being betrayed and cancer and false accusations. I thought my life was over, but it was in that pit that I discovered something deeper. God's power is real and personal and available in the middle of our weakness. Fact is, I thank God for all the things that went wrong. I thank God even for losing all the special friends I thought I had. Because as I did that, it I was alone. And you know, you don't know that God's all you need, to God's all you have. And all of a sudden I woke up and I realized I'm dealing with cancer and chaos. And you know what? I found out God was more than enough. Fact is, that's where he started driving me to Psalm 23. That's where he started changing my life. So let's just look at what's going on in this wonderful passage of scripture. Now, Paul is piling up words in the Greek. He's using uh a word for inherent power, for working power, for ruling strength, for mighty force. He doesn't want us to miss this. God's power is not fragile or uncertain or temporary, it's immeasurable. Look at what Paul says. In 2 Corinthians 12 9, he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly, therefore, will I glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. In Romans chapter 8 and verse eleven, he said, But if the spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his spirit that dwelleth in you. This is a power you have to beg God for. You realize that power is already in us because Christ is in us, and the power of Christ lives in us, and resurrection isn't just history, it isn't just a story we talk about, it's our present reality. So I want you to know that it was God's power that raised Jesus from the dead, and God's power that lives in us, and God's power that's working in you right now. I don't care how discouraged you are, I don't care how messed up your life is. Today I want you to know that you are, if you're a born-again believer, Jesus dwells in you. And if you're not a born-again believer, he wants you to be saved. And he wants you to know that he offers it to you as a free gift. Paul says, Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Now, that means the place of honor and authority. It means sharing the emperor's side. Paul is saying, Jesus is an enthroned supreme. He is above every name. In Psalm 110, 1. The Bible said, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand until I make thine enemies thy footstool. In Ephesians chapter 2 and verse 6, and he hath raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Philippians 2 9, wherefore God has highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow of things in heaven, things in earth, and things under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. So don't shell, don't sell God short. Christ isn't waiting to be enthroned someday. He reigns right now, and you as a believer are already seated with him. You know what that means? That means you don't have to climb your way up to God. You're already there in Christ. That is your present position. See, we're not waiting for Jesus to come back and fix things. He's already fixed things, and we are living out all that he's done in our life. Now let's get real. Resurrection power, the power of the Lord Jesus, doesn't always look like fireworks. Many times it's strength and weakness. But you and I have that already. In John 11, 25 and 26, Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life. He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? John sixteen, thirty-three, these things have I spoken unto you that you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. So here it is, you understand, resurrection power, the power of God working in us. Romans 8, Paul said, Nay, in all things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. We are more than conquerors. There is nothing beating you up right now that's going to keep beating you up. Life is not over, because I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shall be to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. So do you understand? God's power works in the chemo lab. It shows up in the courtroom. It shows up when you forgive instead of retaliating. That's real resurrection power in shoe level leather. Evil thought it had won. The devil thought he'd won at the cross. But that's resurrection rewrote that story. Your pain isn't the end. It's a setup for resurrection life. God is going to work in your life. God is working in your life right now. You need to know that no matter who you are, no matter how much you messed up, no matter what's happened in your life, He has not quit loving you. He didn't start loving you because of something you did, and He won't stop loving you because of something you did. He loves you. Now, as a believer, our lives ought to be an advertisement of the immense power. We're like walking billboards of God's grace. Jesus told us to be the light of the world. He said, A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick, and he gives light unto all that in the room. So, he said, Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven. And if I could say this to you, everything in your life needs to be built around this. We are here to glorify our Father. We want the world to see how He is working in our lives. Everybody's got a messed up life. You're not the only one, and He is at work in your life, and if you show that, it'll magnify the Father. To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles. Christ in you, Christ in us, the hope of glory. And He's who we preach and warn every man and teach every man in all wisdom, so that we can present every man perfect or mature in Christ, because He is working in us mightily. So I need to tell you that we want to forgive, even though bitterness is easier. We want to forgive. We have resurrection power. We can forgive. We want to be courageous when fear swallows us. We want to keep going. When giving up and quitting looks easier, looks better, because that's resurrection power at work in our lives. It's like the power of electricity flowing in us. Everyone will see the light, but they won't understand that it's the invisible force that's doing that. That's the Holy Spirit. So every Christian is to be a little Christ. His power in you cannot help but leak out in we in kindness and courage and love. So here's the bottom line: all the power of Christ to usward who believe. So let your way of living, let your conversation be without covetousness. Be content with such things as you have. For he said, I will never leave you and I'll never forsake you. We're gonna love our enemies. We're gonna bless them that curse us. We're gonna do good to them that hate us. We're gonna pray for people that mistreat us and persecute us. Because you know what? God is good to everybody. So I want to remind you, He has the keys to death and hell. He has victory, and victory lives in you. You don't need to be trying harder, you need to be trusting deeper. Christ is in you, his power is yours. No doctor can raise the dead, only God, and God already has in Christ and in you. The real story is just now getting started. So this week, live like it's true. Forgive, be courageous, keep going. His power in you is greater than what's against you. That's Bible. The Lord that raised Jesus, the power that raised Jesus from the dead is working in you. You don't have to earn it, you don't have to fight for it, you don't have to pretend that you have it. You just need to rest in Christ. Trust Him. So when you feel weak this week, remember you are not powerless. You are loved, you're in Christ. Christ is in you, and resurrection life is already flowing through you. So I want to tell you that we're gonna continue to walk from pain to praise, from weakness to resurrection, from despair to hope, because Jesus lives in us. I want to thank you so much. I want you to know that I have experienced this power. I want you to know that I was at the bottom of the barrel just a year or two ago. But God has worked in my life, and he's working in your life. Trust him, look to him, expect it, and enjoy what God has for you. Thank you very much.
